Gehobene Beamtenlaufbahn in Berlin

Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Steg aka "Gehobene Beamtenlaufbahn" crossing the river Spree between Mitte and TiergartenThe Berliners have a good sense of humor. They call the upper deck of this skywalk just "Gehobene Beamtenlaufbahn". The bridge connects two of the government buildings in the new Government District of Berlin. The term refers to the restriction that only officials can walk over this one at dizzy heights. So it is more or less a "catwalk for elite bureaucrats" with a career in higher civil service.
